Coaching Resources
- A USOF publication, Coaching Orienteering (158 pp) includes dozens of exercises for orienteers of all levels. It is not an introduction to orienteering.
It is a reference for the coach who is trying to prepare his/her
team for a higher level of orienteering competition. To order, include your name, address, and $14.50 ($12.00 + $2.50 shipping/handling, check/money order payable to United States Orienteering Federation), to USOF c/o Mike Minium (mikeminium [at] aol [dot] com), 6797 Stillwell-Beckett Rd., Oxford, OH 45056-8870.
- Visit the Coaching & Certifications page for more information for Orienteering Coaches.
Intercollegiate/Interscholastic Rules and Regulations
See the appropriate sections of the USOF Rules for Orienteering.
Fund Raising for the U.S. Junior Team
- In 2006 and 2007, we raffled tickets to win a T-shirt quilt similar to the one pictured at right. Funds raised benefit the Junior Team.
- The winners of previous quilts are Suzanne Armstrong and Donna Fluegel. See Suzanne's quilt.
- If you can help the junior team by making a t-shirt quilt for the next raffle winner, contact Janet Porter. T-shirts can be provided by the winner.
- Current fund raising efforts involve selling food at A-meets to hungry orienteers. All Juniors and their families, in fact anyone interested in supporting the effort, are encouraged to volunteer at the Junior Concession Fund Raisers. Please contact Janet if you are interested in helping.
