Junior News, Links, and Results
This summer a group of juniors is on a training/racing trip to Sweden, including O-Ringen — the largest public orienteering event in Sweden and maybe Europe — under the guidance of US Junior Team Leader Janet Porter and others. Read their blog.
JWOC Team Results
Of the U.S. competitors at JWOC this year, Tori Borish of COC looks like a promising junior in the shorter distances, placing highest of all U.S. competitors in the Sprint race and Middle distance race. In the long race, Holly Kuestner, also of COC, led Tori by almost a minute, offering an almost even challenge. The men were up against stiff competition, with their best placing in the Long for Andy Strat, in 134th place. All JWOC results.
